Humidity vs. Your HVAC Unit.

Happy 4th of July holiday from your friends at Poor Johns Plumbing.  You should be or certainly WILL be feeling the effects of summertime humidity in the Kansas City area.  The higher humidity may exact quite a toll on your outdoor HVAC unit.  The moist air inherent to the Midwest will be carrying large amounts of dirt, dust, and debris.

You can stay on top of this situation with a garden hose.  Removing the debris will help your system work more efficiently and reduce your utility bill.  A properly operating cooling system will remove heat and moisture from your living area.  If your home is feeling warmer than it did a year ago it may be the result of extra moisture not being removed.

Knowing the basics about your HVAC system is important.  One thing to remember is that ignoring the problem will only make it worse.  Poor John’s Plumbing is a full service HVAC maintenance and emergency plumbing company serving all of the Kansas City area.  Go to their website at www.poorjohns.com and call the number that corresponds to your area.
